DESCRIPTION :

Febuga-40 is a prescription medicine containing Febuxostat 40mg , a xanthine oxidase inhibitor. It helps reduce the production of uric acid in the body and is used for long-term management of elevated uric acid levels.

INDICATIONS :

Chronic hyperuricemia (high uric acid)

Gout

Prevention of recurrent gout attacks by maintaining uric acid at appropriate levels.

HOW IT WORKS :

Febuxostat blocks the enzymes xanthine oxidase , which is responsible for producing uric acid . By reducing uric acid production , it helps lower blood uric acid levels and reduces the formation of urate crystals associated with gout.
