DESCRIPTION :

GAM-CEFT-1000 is a prescription antibiotic injection containing ceftriaxone 1g. It belongs to the cephalosporin group of antibiotic and is used to treat various bacterial infections under medical supervision.

INDICATIONS :

It may be prescribed for susceptible bacterial infections , including :

Respiratory tract infections , including pneumonia

Urinary tract infections

Skin and soft-tissue infections

Bloodstream infections

Meningitis

Infections associated with surgical procedures.

HOW IT WORKS :

Ceftriaxone works by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall , leading to the death of susceptible bacteria. It is not effective against viral infections such as the common cold.
