DESCRIPTION :

PODGAM-100 is a pediatric dry syrup containing cefpodoxime proxetil , a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat susceptible bacterial infections. It is reconstituted with water before oral administration.

INDICATIONS :

Ear, nose and throat infections.

Respiratory tract infections , including certain cases of pneumonia.

Urinary tract infections.

Other susceptible bacterial infections as diagnosed by a doctor.

HOW IT WORKS :

Cefpodoxime works by interfering with bacterial cell-wall formation, causing susceptible bacteria to die. It treats bacterial infections and does not work against viral illnesses such as the common cold.
