DESCRIPTION :

Gamplox -200 is an antibiotic tablet containing Ofloxacin 200mg.Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibacterial medicine used to treat susceptible bacterial infections . It works against bacteria by interfering with enzymes required for bacterial DNA replication.

INDICATIONS :

It may be prescribed for susceptible bacterial infections such as :

Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

Certain gastrointestinal bacterial infections

Respiratory tract bacterial infections

Skin and soft-tissue infections

Certain genital/reproductive tract bacterial infections

Other infections where the causative bacteria are susceptible to ofloxacin

HOW IT WORKS :

Ofloxacin inhibits the bacterial enzymes DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. This disrupts bacterial DNA replication and repair , ultimately causing bacterial cell death.
