DESCRIPTION :

Linzogam-600 is a prescription antibiotic containing Linezolid 600 mg. It is used to treat certain serious bacterial infections, particularly those affecting the lungs, skin, and soft tissues.

It may be prescribed for infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including some antibiotic-resistant strains.

INDICATIONS :

Linzogam-600 may be prescribed for :

Certain types of bacterial pneumonia.

Complicated skin and soft-tissue infections.

Certain serious infections caused by susceptible Gram-positive bacteria.

Selected infections caused by resistant bacteria, as determined by a doctor.

IMPORTANT : Linezolid does not treat viral infections such as the common cold or flu.

HOW IT WORKS :

Linezolid belongs to the oxazolidinone class of antibiotics.

It works by :

Binding to the bacterial ribosome.

Blocking the production of essential bacterial proteins.

Preventing bacteria from growing and multiplying.

Helping the body controls the infection.
