DESCRIPTION :

GAMCEFT SB-1.5 is a combination injectable antibiotic containing ceftriaxone and sulbactum. It is used under medical supervision to treat certain bacterial infections, particularly those caused by susceptible bacteria.

INDICATIONS :

It may be prescribed for susceptible bacterial infections, including :

Respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia.

Urinary tract infections.

Skin and soft tissue infections.

Intra-abdominal infections.

Bone and joint infections.

Certain severe systemic bacterial infections.

HOW IT WORKS :

Ceftriaxone : A cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell-wall formation, leading to bacterial death.

Sulbactum : Inhibits certain beta-lactamase enzymes produced by bacteria, helping protect ceftriaxone from enzymatic breakdown.

Together, they help treat susceptible bacterial infections.
