DESCRIPTION :

GAMCLAV Dry Syrup is a prescription antibiotic combination containing amoxicillin and clavulanate . It is used to treat susceptible bacterial infections, including certain ear, throat , respiratory tract, skin and urinary tract infections.

INDICATIONS :

Ear, nose and throat bacterial infections.

Respiratory tract infections caused by susceptible bacteria

HOW IT WORKS :

Amoxicillin : Inhibits bacterial cell-wall formation, helping kill bacteria.

Clavulanic acid : Blocks certain bacterial enzymes called beta-lactamases, helping protect amoxicillin from breakdown.

Together , they can work against bacteria resistant to amoxicillin alone.

IMPORTANT NOTICE :

Use only on a doctor’s prescription.

Not effective against viral infections such as the common cold.

Possible side effects include diarrhoea , nausea , vomiting and rash.

Inform the doctor about penicillin allergies and any history of liver problems.

Follow the prescribed dose and complete the treatment as directed.
