DESCRIPTION :

PODGAM-CV is a combination antibiotic containing cefpodoxime and clavulanic acid. It is used to treat certain bacterial infections when prescribed by a qualified healthcare professional.

INDICATIONS :

It may be prescribed for susceptible bacterial infections involving :

Respiratory tract

Ear, nose and throat

Urinary tract

Skin and soft tissues

The appropriate use depends on the infection and the bacteria responsible.

HOW IT WORKS :

Cefpodoxime : A cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell-wall formation, causing susceptible bacteria to die.

Clavulanic acid : Inhibits certain bacterial beta-lactamase enzymes that can otherwise destroy antibiotics.

Together, these ingredients help treat susceptible bacterial infections.
