DESCRIPTION:

Itragam – 200 is a triazole antifungal medicine used to treat fungal infections. It can be used for infections involving the skin, nails, mouth/ throat and, when prescribed, deeper/ systemic fungal infections.

INDICATIONS:

Dermatophyte / skin fungal infections

Onychomycosis (fungal infection of fingernails/toenails)

Oral or vaginal candidiasis

Aspergillosis

Histoplasmosis

Blastomycosis

Other susceptible fungal infections as diagnosed by a physician.

HOW IT WORKS:

Itraconazole inhibits ergosterol synthesis in fungal cells. Ergosterole is an important component of the fungal cell membrane. Reducing ergosterole disrupts the fungal membrane and inhibits fungal growth.
