DESCRIPTION :

GAMCORT -6 is a corticosteroid tablet containing Deflazacort 6 mg . It has anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties and is used to control inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties and is used to control inflammation and excessive immune-system activity.

INDICATIONS :

It may be prescribed for :

Rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory disorders

Allergic reactions and severe allergies

Asthma-associated inflammation

Inflammatory skin disorders

Autoimmune diseases

Certain conditions requiring suppression of the immune response

Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) , where Deflazacort is used to help reduce muscle damage and slow muscle weakness.

HOW IT WORKS :

Deflazacort works by reducing the production and release of inflammatory substances and suppressing excessive immune-system activity. This decreases inflammation , swelling and autoimmune reactions.

IMPORTANT NOTICE :

Prescription medicine – use only under medical supervision.

Do not stop long-term corticosteroid treatment suddenly; the dose may need to be reduced gradually by a doctor.

It may increase susceptibility to infections.

Prolonged use can cause steroid-related effects such as increased appetite, weight gain, Cushingoid changes and other metabolic effects.

Inform the doctor about breastfeeding, existing infections and other medicines being taken .
