DESCRIPTION :

Pantogam-40 is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the production of stomach acid. It helps relieve acidity, heartburn and acid reflux and supports the healing of acid-related conditions of the stomach and oesophagus.

INDICATIONS :

Pantogam-40 is used for :

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

Acidity and heartburn.

Acid reflux and reflux oesophagitis.

Peptic ulcers.

Prevention of certain stomach ulcers associated with prolonged use of painkiller, when prescribed by a doctor.

HOW IT WORKS :

Pantoprazole blocks the proton pumps (H+/K+ -ATPase) in the stomach’s acid-producing cells.

This reduces stomach acid production, helping :

Relieve acidity and heartburn.

Reduce acid reflux.

Allow the stomach and oesophagus lining to heal.

IMPORTANT NOTICE :

Use only as directed by a registered medical practitioner.

Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew it.

It is generally taken before meals, as directed by your doctor.

Common side effects may include headache, nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal pain and gas.

Inform your doctor about other medicines you take, especially if you have liver problems.

Prolonged use should be medically supervised.
